Poor Hiding

Definition:

Failure of dried paint to obscure or over cover the surface to which it is applied.

Cause:

Over thinning the paint or spreading it too thin
Use of low quality tools or wrong roller cover
Use of low quality paint

Prevention

Dilute paint with correct ratio specified on Technical Data Sheet
Use the correct thinner to thin paint.
Choose the correct roller and brush.

Remedy

Apply another coat of paint at the recommended film thickness.
Use quality tools and a roller cover with the correct nap if rolling.
